Terms and Conditions

  • Booking conditions
    The following terms & conditions (the ‘Conditions of booking’) will apply to your booking. A contract between you and Blue Gem Tourist Park will come into existence either (i) when we accept your booking by issuing written (email or sms text) confirmation of your booking or (ii) if you have made your booking by telephone when we tell you on the telephone that your booking is confirmed. The contract binds you and all members of your party to accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms & conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract & loss of the booking.
  • Changes to your booking
    After you have booked you may wish to change your arrival date or type of cabin accommodation. We will try to meet your request. Any changes must be made by the same person who made the booking. Please be aware that any changes to bookings that are made may result in cancellation fees as outlined in accordance to our “cancellation of cabin bookings” policy.
  • Cancellation of cabin bookings
    Your booking is for a specific date and once confirmed, any changes will result in liability for payment of the whole amount unless you have cancelled in accordance with this policy. Guests who fail to arrive on the designated day or by 10.00 am the following day will still be charged for the full amount. Tariffs are not refundable if you choose to shorten your stay.

    In the event of your booking being cancelled prior to arrival, the following conditions apply:

    Up to 1pm the day before booked arrival, no cancellation fee applies.

    A cancellation fee of up to $40 or 50% of amount paid (whichever is greater) will apply if cancelled prior to 1pm day of arrival date.

    After 1pm of arrival date or in the event of guest not turning up: Full amount of accommodation will apply and guests agree to this amount being applied to their credit card.

    Park Management reserves the right to relocate or cancel any booking at its discretion.

  • Refunds after arrival (cabin and campsites):
    Blue Gem Tourist Park has a “NO REFUND POLICY”.
    • Ensure you book the correct number of days required – no refund will be given due to leaving early. This means if you choose to leave early for any reason after you have checked in you are not entitled to a refund.
    • No refunds will be given for inclement weather. Cancellation fees (as outlined in the ‘cancellation of cabin bookings’ section) still apply in the event you cancel your booking or do not turn up due to weather.
    • If there are exceptional circumstances consideration may be given for a credit note by Management.
    • The person making the booking agrees to accept the park rules and booking conditions on behalf of all members of the party:
    • Bookings are accepted only for the party named and are not transferable.
    • In the event of cancellation by the Client, the Client remains liable for any cancellation fees as outlined in our “cancellation of cabin” section.
    • Blue Gem Tourist Park is absolved from all liability for accidents to customers and their guests and from any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
    • Blue Gem Tourist Park reserves the right to cancel or terminate a booking where the guest has failed to disclose all material information as required at the time of the booking. We may also require any person not observing the Park Rules or creating a disturbance to leave the park. In these circumstances Blue Gem Tourist Park shall not be under any liability to the persons involved and shall be discharged from further performance of its obligation. Any refunds given will be at our discretion.
    • For the convenience of our guests, we reserve the right to terminate a booking without compensation where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking or their guests may impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests. No refunds will be given and charges will apply for any damage caused.
  • Check-In is from 11am for campsites/caravans and 1pm for cabins. Earlier check-ins may be possible but please ask about these when booking.
  • Check-Out for all cabin guests is strictly 10am. Campsites/caravans is 10am.
  • Site allocation
    Guests may request a specific site. We will endeavour to hold that site for you. However, management cannot guarantee any site allocation due to circumstances that may arise after your booking has been confirmed.
    Full fees are charged whenever a site is occupied / made unavailable to others.
    Managers have the right to require Patrons who encroach beyond the sites/s they have paid for to pay extra site fees or will be required to remove obstacles from the other site immediately.
    No vehicles, vans, trailers, boats, tarp ropes, temporary clothes lines etc are to impede public or internal access ways / walkways etc. Vehicles etc may be towed away if causing an obstruction.
  • Cabins
    A maximum number of occupants apply for each cabin type, as described during booking over the phone or viewed on the website and cannot be exceeded. If on arrival the number of people exceeds the maximum for the accommodation type, we are unable to accept the booking.
  • Accommodation is serviced on departure only or once a week for long term guests (more than two weeks).
  • Pets
    Blue Gem Tourist Park is a pet friendly park.
    • However, no animal is allowed in our cabins (charges will apply if any animal has found to have been in cabins).
    • All animals must be under control and on a lead. Animals are not to be left unattended in the park at any time.
    • Animals are strictly forbidden from entering any cabins, amenities, and laundry room or reception area.
    • Guests are responsible for ensuring all animal waste is removed, bagged and binned.
    • Any animal causing undue noise or damage at any time will result in the owner being asked to leave. No refund will be given.
  • Prices
    All prices quoted are in Australian dollars, are inclusive of GST and subject to change without notice due to seasonal and other variations. Prices are based on two persons occupying accommodation; extra person rates apply for each additional person.
  • Damage & Loss
    All registered guests shall be liable for any loss or damage to the appliances, furniture, keys, fixtures and fittings in the accommodation. Fair wear and tear excluded.
    A fee may be charged if excessive cleaning is required after departure (See Pet Policy below)
  • Personal Belongings
    Blue Gem Tourist Park takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal item.
  • Excessive Noise
    Noise must be kept at a minimum, especially after 9.00pm. Undue noise or offensive language is not permitted at any time.
  • Entry refusal
    We reserve the right to refuse entry into Blue Gem Tourist Park. A full refund will be issued under these circumstances.
  • Children
    Persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
    Parents/Guardians are responsible for their childrens’ safety and behaviour within the Park. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to recreation areas, playgrounds, amenities etc.
  • Fires
    Open fires or fireworks are not permitted anywhere within the Park. Fire bins are provided for your comfort in the camp kitchen. These are to remain in the camp kitchen.
  • Smoking
    Smoking is not permitted in the amenities block, laundry or cabins. Please respect others comfort.
  • Terms and conditions are subject to change at any time
